Senior Systems Engineer – MBSE

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.

Security clearances:
Active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required for eligibility.

• Leverage Cameo Systems/Architecture Modeler to create, analyze, and maintain detailed system models using SysML, UML, and related modeling languages to support system architecture development, design validation, and integration activities.
• Map and trace system requirements to corresponding functions, processes, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs), ensuring a clear flow from requirements to architecture and conducting impact analysis on performance.
• Maintain version control and apply configuration management processes to incoming model baseline changes, ensuring integrity and traceability.
• Validate and update legacy model captures to maintain consistency with evolving requirements and architecture.
• Establish and integrate Digital Engineering methods to advance the transition to MBSE, developing new processes that enhance enterprise‑wide systems engineering practices.
• Develop and use computer models to analyze and optimize the performance of complex systems, utilizing software and programming languages to simulate real‑world scenarios and predict behavior.
• Communicate effectively with program leadership, government stakeholders, SETA personnel, and other contractors to guide operational and engineering activities.
• Manage system integration projects and deliver reliable data that supports informed decisions regarding installations, modifications, and upgrades.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of five years of engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience applying Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, including system modeling with Cameo or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Digital Engineering practices and tool chains to enhance design, integration, and test workflows.
• Experience with high‑level programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with project management.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external customers in a team environment (government, military, SETA, contractor).
• Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Experience with systems installation, integration, and test activities.
• Experience with additional programming languages (Python, C++, etc.).
• Experience with Request for Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment processes.
• Experience with customer NSIS requirements and rapid delivery methods.
• Experience in customer relationships and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working across contract and location boundaries.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and collaborative engineering tools.
• Experience conveying complex technical issues through oral and written communication.
