HR Generalist

Job Summary

Provide oversight and leadership for branch HR policies, procedures, practices and programs; maintain compliance assurance within all HR functions; manage all aspects of skilled trades recruiting & hiring; and, work in conjunction with divisional HR Manager on employee communications and training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (HR preferred or related) or equivalent combination of recent experience/training with current PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • 7 years recent HR management experience
  • 2-4 years skilled trades recruiting experience in construction industry (or similar frontline hourly skilled labor force) with internet recruiting and ATS experience
  • Current knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws
  • Strong communications (verbal/written), interpersonal, team building, and computer skills
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
