As a C2 Operator/Watchstander, you will support a unique Joint Staff capability which includes the responsibility of the day-to-day operations and exercise-related real-time monitoring, situational awareness, and operational support within the C2 environment. This role ensures timely reporting, coordination, and execution of mission tasks in support of organizational objectives.
Additionally, this is a watch stander position, and you will be required to work shift schedules during events and mission-driven periods. Responsibilities:
* Maintain continuous watch coverage and ensure situational awareness across all assigned systems, missions, and operational activities.
* Monitor, analyze, and report information and events in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
* Receive, process, and disseminate operational updates, taskings, and notifications to appropriate stakeholders.
* Support incident response activities by documenting events, escalating issues, and coordinating with leadership and external partners as required.
* Ensure all logs, trackers, and reporting tools are accurately updated.
* Follow established SOPs, policies, and security requirements to maintain mission readiness and operational integrity.
* Participate in shift change briefs, mission updates, and team coordination meetings.
* Assist with recurring operational reviews, quality checks, and watch floor improvements. Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of military and/or experience in operations, watch standing, Command and Control, or a similar environment.
* Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required for 24/7 operations and mission events.
* Familiarity with operational reporting processes, incident documentation, or command center tools.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
* CompTIA Security + (CE) certification.
* Ability to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia Additional Desired
Experience:
* Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
* Prior military, defense, or government operations center experience.
* Knowledge of C2 systems, mission applications, or operational communication platforms.
* Experience with Common Operational Picture (COP) Synchronization Tools (CST) and Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (I3) applications.
* Experience with GCCS and Intelligence systems operations, including the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP), COP/Information Management (IM), and various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4
ISR) systems.
* Current or previously held TS/SCI (if applicable).
