Are you a visionary architect ready to shape the future of Joint Training infrastructure? Seneca Resources is looking for an Information System Project Architect to spearhead the core infrastructure and data center operations for the JS J7 Dev Sec Ops  pipeline. This is a high-visibility, 100% onsite role based in Suffolk, VA, focused on designing robust, scalable IT systems that support the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

As a lead architect, you will serve as the bridge between high-level data strategy and technical execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that our simulation services and infrastructure are not only innovative but also highly secure and resilient. This role is perfect for a senior professional who excels at mentoring technical teams while managing the complexities of DoD major systems.

• Architectural Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of complex, large-scale IT systems supporting the Joint Training Dev Sec Ops  pipeline and core data center infrastructure.

• Data Strategy & Design: Define and execute comprehensive data strategies to build and deliver high-quality, innovative simulation services.

• Technical Leadership: Develop and mentor technical staff at all levels, fostering a culture of high performance and technical excellence.

• Dev Sec Ops  Integration: Apply Agile and Dev Ops methodologies to streamline infrastructure deployment and enhance system reliability.

  Act as a primary technical consultant to organization leadership, ensuring all technology solutions align with mission-critical objectives.

• Full-Stack Proficiency: Utilize expertise in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C#) to resolve architectural bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

• Security & Reliability: Maintain a deep understanding of database management, networking, and security principles to ensure infrastructure integrity.

• Education & Experience: Master’s Degree (minimum) OR 10+ years of expert-level experience in data design, architecture, and consulting.

  • 5+ years of direct experience supporting DoD major systems or programs
    .

  • 3+ years in a dedicated System Architecture role.

• Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
  .

• Certifications (IAT Level II): Must hold one of the following:
  Security+, CySA+, CCNA‑Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.

  • Functional Area Certification is required prior to start date.

• Technical Core:

  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, multi-tiered IT systems.

  • Proficiency in Agile/Dev Ops frameworks and modern programming languages.

  • Strong command of enterprise-level networking and security.

  RHCSA (Certified System Administrator) or RHCDS (Certified Data Center Specialist).

• Cloud & Frameworks: Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or TOGAF.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and solve high-stakes technical challenges through exceptional communication.
