With support from our strategic partners, robust IBM technology, and Red Hat, you’ll have the tools to drive meaningful change and accelerate client impact. At IBM Consulting, curiosity fuels success.

You’ll be encouraged to challenge the norm, explore new ideas, and create innovative solutions that deliver real results. Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Microsoft Partnership Technology Leader, you will serve as the single‑threaded technical owner responsible for transforming partner technologies into repeatable, deployable, and sellable assets. You will ensure technical credibility in deals, support end‑to‑end solution shaping, and drive market readiness for Microsoft‑aligned offerings. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Build and Maintain Reusable Assets and Accelerators:
Develop, enhance, and manage technical assets aligned to Microsoft Azure, AI, and data platforms, as well as Databricks and other partner technologies. Ensure all assets are directly mapped to real account opportunities and support IBM Azure Vantage.
  • Support Solutioning and Deal Shaping:
Provide hands‑on technical leadership in pursuits, ensuring IBM’s solutions are credible, differentiated, and grounded in deployable architectures—no ivory‑tower designs.
  • Ensure Technical Readiness Across the Market:
Drive readiness activities, enablement, and adoption of assets and accelerators within the market to increase deal velocity and solution quality.
  • Connect Assets to Live Pursuits:
Ensure assets are actively used in ongoing deals and implementations, contributing directly to signings, new captures, and net‑new opportunities.
  • Drive Deployment‑Ready Architecture:
Ensure all solutions and assets are sellable, deployable, and applicable in active client environments and pursuits.

This position can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Deep Understanding of Client Business Needs:
Experience with analyzing and understanding complex business requirements, identifying opportunities to deliver value through technology solutions, and articulating how Microsoft's products and services can meet those needs.
  • Asset and Accelerator Development:
Experience building and maintaining reusable technical assets, templates, or accelerators mapped to cloud, AI, or data technologies, with a focus on delivering deployable, repeatable solutions.
  • Technical Solutioning in Pursuits:
Demonstrated ability to support deal shaping and solution development, ensuring technical credibility and alignment to client requirements and partner technologies.
  • Microsoft and Partner Technology Expertise:
Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (including AI and data platforms), Databricks, or related partner ecosystems.
  • Market and Delivery Enablement:
Experience driving technical readiness across teams, enabling adoption of assets, and ensuring consistency and quality in solution delivery.
  • Opportunity Enablement Through Assets:
Experience connecting technical assets to live opportunities, influencing signings, or accelerating deal cycles through reusable solution components.
  • Practical, Deployable Architecture Design:
Ability to design solutions that can be immediately used in delivery—avoiding overly theoretical or non‑deployable architectures.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Deep Microsoft Product Knowledge:
Deep expertise in Microsoft's products and services, including their capabilities, applications, and potential to meet client business needs. Ability to articulate the value proposition of Microsoft's offerings and identify opportunities to deliver value to clients.
  • Industry‑Specific Acumen:
Experience with the industry‑specific challenges and trends that impact clients' businesses, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Advanced Strategic Planning:
Deep expertise in developing and executing strategic plans that drive revenue growth, improve client satisfaction, and expand Microsoft's presence in the market.
