Universal Joint Task List; UJTL Analyst
Position Overview
The Universal Joint Task List directly supports readiness reporting and joint training, and JS J-7 manages it through a structured development process in Suffolk. The UJTL Analyst supports on-site UJTL project management and the task development process, including user training for Combatant Command and Joint Task Force staffs. The role keeps the UJTL accurate and usable for the communities that depend on it.
EssentialJob Function
- Support on-site UJTL project management and the UJTL development process.
- Develop, maintain, coordinate, and deliver user training to CCMD and Joint Task Force Headquarters staffs.
- Apply changes to and maintain the UJTL database through staff action.
- Analyze and process UJTL change requests against UJTL policy, standards, and guidance.
- Support UJTL working groups and prepare slides, point papers, and staffing materials.
- Education:
No degree with at least 5 years war fighting operational experience. - Experience:
At least 2 years demonstrated experience in six (6) or more of the following: developing and delivering user training to CCMD and JTF staffs; JMETL, UJTL, and Master Training Plan (MTP); the Joint Doctrine process; analytical analysis; development of processes and procedures;
Joint Staff structure and organizational relationships;
Joint Staff relationships with CCMDs, Services, and DoD Agencies; written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; preparing and conducting working groups; modern English grammar; and development of staffing packages. - Security Clearance:
Secret (per Staffing Plan).
- Prior assignment developing or applying JMETLs at a Combatant Command or Service staff.
- Familiarity with the UJTL Task Development Tool (UTDT).
