Legal Counsel - Corporate & Commercial

Location: London or Suffolk.

Sizewell C is entering an exciting phase of growth as we mature into an independent organisation and continue building one of the UK’s largest and most important energy projects.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel, Corporate & Commercial to join our growing legal team. You will provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of corporate, commercial and financing matters, supporting a complex, high-profile infrastructure project.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and external advisers, ensuring legal risk is effectively managed while enabling business objectives.

About You

• UK-qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience
• Experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house within a complex organisation
• Experience advising on corporate matters and governance arrangements
• Experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and advising on a range of corporate and commercial issues
• Experience in infrastructure, energy, construction, or regulated sectors is advantageous
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Pragmatic, solution-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

C. Our vision is to Lead The Way On Nuclear.

The Sizewell C team is one of the most exciting and largest new mega projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. We have begun constructing a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast in the East of England replicating, wherever possible, the design used for Hinkley Point C, another nuclear power station being built in Somerset.

When built, Sizewell C will be one of the largest power stations to operate in the UK. The power station will generate low carbon electricity for at least 60 years, supplying over 6 million homes and supporting around 7% of the UK’s current electricity needs.
