OverviewSentara is hiring a Supply Chain Associate I in Suffolk, Virginia. This is a full‑time day shift opportunity with a schedule of 7:30 am‑4 pm.
The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for leading, managing, transforming, and developing the inventory and logistics of the Hospital Warehouse Docks. Responsibilities include supply inventory management, warehouse management, product receiving, shipping, record keeping, order fulfillment, and material transportation. The role also involves managing supplies coming to the hospital, building a competitive inventory and logistics infrastructure, optimizing logistics and record‑keeping, facilitating cycle counts, measuring inventory, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Additionally, the position provides data and information to superiors to facilitate decision‑making with ground‑level insights on a periodic basis or ad‑hoc, in accordance with Sentara Healthcare priorities.
- At least 1 year of experience in inventory and logistics management roles.
- Experience in optimization of inventory, logistics, and materials management is highly preferred but not required.
- Experience in a health care setting is preferred but not required.
