Custodian & Crew Member

Enjoy hands-on work and the satisfaction of seeing a space ready for its next event? Join HUB 757 as a Custodian and Event Crew Member. Your work will help guests, students, and church attendees walk into spaces that are clean, safe, organized, and welcoming.

HUB 757 hosts weddings, business meetings, seminars, social gatherings, and trade shows. Our facility is also home to a full-time day school and a nondenominational church. This role combines custodial work with event setup and breakdown, so your assignments may change from one shift to the next.

• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets and remove spots and stains.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, fixtures, high-touch surfaces, and other assigned areas; replenish paper products and soap.
• Collect and remove trash, replace liners, and clean trash containers.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs according to room diagrams and event instructions.
• Clean furniture before storage, return items neatly, and reset spaces for the next event or daily activity.
• Keep walkways and exits clear, use cleaning products and equipment safely, and follow required protective equipment procedures.
• Stock your custodial cart, care for equipment, and report supply shortages, hazards, or equipment problems.
• Review shift instructions, coordinate with teammates and shift leadership, and participate in an end-of-shift walkthrough.
• Perform assigned opening and closing duties, including doors and alarm systems, following facility procedures.

Weekend availability is required, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. Assignments may include late hours and Sunday mid afternoons. Weekday shifts may also be available.

• Knowledge of custodial work and the safe use of disinfectants, sanitizers, and other cleaning solutions.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and timely communication about schedule concerns.
• Attention to detail and pride in completing work thoroughly.
• Ability to follow directions and room setup diagrams, work independently, and contribute to a team.
• A calm, professional approach when priorities change or events run behind schedule.
• Ability to review schedules and shift notes in When I Work and record work time in BambooHR. Familiarity with these systems is helpful; onboarding includes guidance.
• Successful completion of the required background check.

This is an active role involving standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving equipment, supplies, tables, and chairs. The facility serves events, a school, and church activities. Employees work around cleaning products and must wear closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes and required protective equipment, and must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
