Email & SMS Strategist; Lifecycle, Retention, CRM

Overview

We're Stimulate—an email & sms retention marketing agency for high-growth DTC brands. We use email, SMS, subscriptions, loyalty programs, and more to drive customer lifetime value and client profitability.

We’re looking for an Email & SMS strategist to join our agency. This position will manage client relationships, build bespoke retention strategies, implement those strategies across client email and SMS channels, and oversee performance & reporting.

Working alongside the creative team, your main objective in this role is to drive channel growth and customer retention to help our clients grow profitably.

• New Client Audits and Onboarding
• Audit prospective client accounts to assess and document what’s working, what’s not, and what needs fixing.
• Onboard new clients you will be managing.
• Setup email & sms accounts following our best practices when onboarding new brands.

• Content Brief Creation and Presentation
• Create monthly content calendars and automation plans.
• Proof and provide feedback on content calendars created by other teammates.
• Present content calendars and automation plans to clients.
• Adjust calendars as needed following client feedback.

• Reporting and Analytics
• Write performance reports and present them to clients.
• Implement + delegate strategic next steps laid out in the report.
• Conduct ad hoc analytics when clients request or when performance declines.

• Email & SMS Automation Management
• Map out automation plans in Miro for new clients.
• Build automation logic in Klaviyo.
• Audit automations to ensure they are functioning as expected.

• Quality Assurance and Scheduling
• Schedule emails and perform final QA of links and discount codes to ensure error-free content.
• Modify segmentation strategy as needed based on results.
• Build and A/B test popups to maximize list growth.
• Address deliverability issues as they arise.

• Client Communication
• Serve as one of the two main points of contact for the clients you manage.

• Tool Expertise
• Work with and gain expertise in tools such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Mail Chimp Forms, Recharge, Stay AI, Aftersell, Post Pilot, Shopify, and Lifetimely.

• 2+ years of work experience in the email/SMS/retention marketing space.
• 2+ years using Klaviyo or a similar ESP.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ambitious, resilient, and eager to learn.
• Works well in a team environment and loves to collaborate.
• A self-motivated leader with resilience, drive, and eagerness to learn.

• Salary:
  Above industry standard salary (based on experience) + bonus
