- Faithfully proclaim and teach the Word of God through clear, expositional preaching.
- Nurture a culture of discipleship shaped by God’s Word, resulting in obedience, genuine community, and gospel witness.
- Shepherd the congregation with humility and compassion, cultivating authentic relationships within the church.
- Demonstrate a growing love for Christ and His church, striving to imitate Christ in character, conduct, and relationships.
- Meet the biblical qualifications for an elder as outlined in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:2–7; Titus 1:5–9) and embrace the pastoral calling described in 1 Peter 5.
A committed follower of Christ who demonstrates Christlike character, spiritual maturity, a teachable spirit, and a growing capacity to fulfill the pastoral responsibilities outlined above.
- Willingness to live under the spiritual oversight and accountability of the elders, willingly receiving counsel, encouragement, and correction.
- Agreement with JRCC’s Constitution, Statement of Faith, and Member Covenant.
- M.Div. or equivalent theological training preferred.
