Volunteer role
The General Committee Volunteer supports local Branch volunteers on activities such as planning local events and administration. This role can mainly be performed from home in your own time and helps us make a real difference to butterflies and moths in your local area.

What you will be doing- Support Branch committee volunteers, including administrative duties and helping set up meetings and plan events.

The role is active year‑round and can be done from home at a time that suits you, though you may need to travel to attend meetings if these are held in person in your local area. These often take place in the evenings or at weekends; some meetings may occur online. Your Branch Chair will advise you. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months;
most people spend around 2–3 hours a week on this role. Children aged 13–15 must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering. If you are aged 16 or 17, your parent may give written permission for you to volunteer unaccompanied. Please be aware that our insurance cover differs slightly for people aged 75 or over.
