Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for 2 South - Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit
. This is a Full Time, Night shift position in Suffolk, VA.
Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates!
Hours: 7PM to 7AM with rotating weekend schedule.
Unit DescriptionThe Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post-coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. 2 South also cares for pre/post catheterization, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases. This 25-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit.
2 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down before year’s end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Nursing Opportunities at Sentara Obici Hospital
Education- Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Students in process of completing an accredited nursing program.
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
- NIH within 1 year of hire
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred
- None Required
