Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Full Time, Night shift (Third/Nights) in Suffolk, VA. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates. New Grad Bonus $7500.

The Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a licensed 20‑bed unit that treats dual diagnosis behavioral health patients, including bipolar, schizophrenia, major depression and substance abuse. The unit is low to moderate acuity and locked. Nurses work with a full interdisciplinary behavioral health team and provide group therapy sessions.

The RN is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care, demonstrated by the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care – teaching and health promotion, evaluation) and the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, environmental health). The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required in specific clinical areas.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science Nursing (MSN) – preferred.
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

• Registered Nursing License (required).
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

• None required.
• Behavioral Health experience highly preferred.
• 1 year of acute care preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
