Sentara Belle Harbour Emergency Department is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department. Full time, night shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Fast‑paced, team‑centered environment where every day brings new challenges and meaningful impact.

Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

Required Call: Full‑time nurses have 24 hours of required call per 6 weeks. Part‑time does 12 hours.

Experienced Nurse Orientation: 10 weeks on the unit.

Sign on Bonus: Up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN must meet standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred)

• Registered Nursing License (required)
• ACLS required prior to completion of orientation
• PALS required prior to completion of orientation
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

• 2 years of Emergency Room experience (preferred)
• Critical care experience in hospital (preferred)
• 2 years of acute care registered nursing experience (preferred)
• Experience managing complex cases in fast‑paced environments
• Excellent communication with patients and providers
