Registered Nurse; RN - Medical Surgical; Med Surg

Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 21‑bed Medical–Surgical unit. Multiple shifts, including night shift, are available.

• Sign‑on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified night‑shift candidates.

• Provide competent nursing care based on the critical thinking model and the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination, education, and evaluation).
• Adhere to standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, cultural competence, communication, collaboration, leadership, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and resource utilization.
• Deliver patient‑centered care in a collaborative environment with preceptors and interdisciplinary teams.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science (MSN) preferred.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (must complete by hiring).
• Registered Nursing degree or diploma required.

• Active Registered Nursing license required.
• Students may be on the process to obtain RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

• No prior experience required; 1 year of acute care preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
