Unit Coordinator for IMCU (Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA) – Part‑time position, third shift (nights).
Hours:
7 PM to 7 AM with rotating weekend schedule. Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 available for qualified candidates. An entry‑level leadership role for those looking to branch into leadership.
The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. Under the direction of the department manager, the Coordinator leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The role increases staff satisfaction and promotes excellent customer service.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – preferred
- Registered Nursing license – required
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- Professional specialty nursing certification – preferred
- 18 months of nursing experience – required
