Senior Inpatient Case Manager-RN

Location and Shift

Suffolk, VA – First (Day) shift – 8:30 am – 5 pm Monday–Friday with rotating weekend, holiday and on‑call commitments.

Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN to focus on complex cases.

• Assume responsibility, accountability and leadership for daily inpatient case management operations.
• Coordinate work, quality and service activities for inpatient case management.
• Assist supervisor for assigned site/function and participate in work activities of assigned teams.
• Provide case management services as needed.
• Maintain fiscal accountability for departmental activities.
• Provide feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel.
• Operate in hospital practice settings.

• Education:
  
  RN‑Bachelor’s degree, RN‑Master’s degree or RN‑Doctorate degree.
• Certification/Licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact/Multi‑State or Single State (Virginia);
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA;
  Case Management certification (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC or CMGT‑BC) required within one year of eligibility.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years nursing experience (required); 3 years case management experience (preferred).
• Healthcare experience in hospital or acute care facility settings.
