Clinical Scope
- Outpatient anesthesia care
- Administering own drugs
- Placing epidurals, spinal, and arterial lines
- Managing some obstetrics and trauma cases
- Placement of arterial and lumbar epidural catheters
- Spinal anesthesia procedures
Practice Environment
Supportive outpatient anesthesia setting across Sentara facilities in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Leigh, Virginia. Providers utilize Cerner EMR, with all CVs re-typed in correct format, including skills checklist and interview availability within 48 hours.
Requirements
- Active Virginia medical license in hand
- Some level 1 trauma experience
- Lodging form with nightly rate required
