Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join a busy inpatient critical care team in Suffolk, Virginia. If you enjoy autonomous practice in a collaborative ICU environment, this ongoing locum opportunity is for you!

Locum Nurse Practitioner – Critical Care
Ongoing monthly coverage available Fast credentialing – 2 to 4 weeks Flexible scheduling – we'll work around your availability! Inpatient critical care setting Epic EMR
ScheduleDay shifts: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Night shifts: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Multiple openings available from August through November, with ongoing monthly coverage beyond.
Must be able to cover at least one block of shifts each month.
Practice HighlightsPractice autonomously in a supportive ICU environment Average daily census: 13 patients (range 1–20) Manage critically ill adult patients Ventilator management with respiratory therapy support Admit ICU patients from the ED, hospital floors, and surrounding hospitals Perform:
Central venous lines (CVLs) Arterial lines Hemodialysis catheters Discuss goals of care and provide family updates during critical situations
Board certified nurse practitioner Active Virginia license Active DEA BLS & ACLS certifications Critical care experience required Ability to cover scheduled shifts every month Clean background required for temporary privileges
