Ping Wind is seeking a highly qualified and experience Intermediate Software Test and Evaluation Specialist who leads the planning, execution, and reporting of test and evaluation activities for complex software systems and applications. This role ensures that software products meet performance, reliability, security, and compliance requirements through rigorous testing practices. The Senior Specialist develops test strategies, manages evaluation processes, mentors junior testers, and collaborates with development, Dev Ops, and quality assurance teams to ensure delivery of high‑quality solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and evaluation strategies for software systems.
- Define testing objectives, success criteria, and evaluation methodologies.
- Ensure alignment of testing activities with program requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the execution of functional, performance, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Perform automated and manual testing as appropriate.
- Document, analyze, and report test results, identifying defects, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to software quality assurance standards, best practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Validate that security, interoperability, and performance requirements are met.
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by embedding automated testing.
- Expertise with testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Bugzilla).
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Load Runner).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity testing, secure coding standards, and vulnerability assessment.
- Understanding of system integration testing, interoperability, and requirements validation.
- DoD 8140 Certification
- (Master’s preferred).
- Proven track record of leading test and evaluation activities for enterprise or mission‑critical systems.
