SUMMARY

This position reports to the Retail Manager. The Shops Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day operations of The Tavern Shops with a focus on back‑office responsibilities such as inventory control and product acquisition. This position is also responsible for the successful implementation, operation, and profitability of The Inn’s retail e‑commerce platform. The Shops Supervisor is an ambassador of the Inn, taking ownership to lead and coach the retail team, build relationships, proactively foster the achievement of sales goals and ensure that the highest level of guest experience is delivered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing bi‑annual full inventory, and periodic incremental inventory of stock levels and maintaining accurate stock levels in Resort suite, ensuring minimal shortage.
  • Complete the development and implementation of the Inn’s E‑commerce retail presence and maintain/develop the platform as needed.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operation of E‑Commerce sales including stock, order fulfillment, shipping and customer relations.
  • Managing stock levels on sales floor, stockroom and e‑commerce inventory.
  • Responsible for the entire lifecycle of product acquisition from sourcing, ordering, receiving, logging into inventory, pricing and organization in stockroom. All invoices and PO’s appropriately managed and communicated to the finance department.
  • Implementing stockroom standard of organization, ensuring the standard is maintained on a daily basis.
  • Foster relationships with current and new guests to further grow business by creating ideas for composing special events and anticipating guest needs.
  • Maintaining 5‑star cleanliness of the Tavern shops through daily vacuuming and dusting of the tavern shops either after closing or before opening, as directed by the manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments at The Inn to support the needs of the guests and business.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Frequent twisting, turning, reaching up and outwards.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Fashion Merchandising or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Experience leading a team, in a retail environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in luxury retail.
  • Able to read and understand PNL statements.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Periodically will need use of personal vehicle to attend off‑site meetings, source a new vendor, visit suppliers/vendors, or research local resorts and restaurants.
SKILLS Required
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and quick problem‑solving skills.

  • Passion for the brand:

  • Communication skills; both verbal and written.
Preferred
  • Preferred ability to speak 2nd language, Spanish or French.
  • Computer proficiency, preferable in Excel, Microsoft Word, Google, Resort suite Retail.
