Security Officer Part Time Patrol Ambassador in Suffolk, VA serves and safeguards clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Provide customer service to all persons on site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor entrances, badge access points, and visitor activity to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report policy-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support day-to-day site operations by completing incident reports, maintaining post records, and sharing relevant information during shift transitions and/or as requested by site leadership.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
