Job Duties

Serve Virginia's veterans and their family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have earned through service and sacrifice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Familiar with all cemetery grounds maintenance procedures and practices, including section maps, pins, and gravesite numbering system.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance for cemetery light and heavy equipment, operation of power hand tools, plastering, plumbing, roof repairs, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift/maneuver a 220‑pound grave marker with the help of one additional person.
Additional Considerations

Any combination of education and job experience that leads to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above. High school education/GED or cemetery experience of six (6) months. The position requires a valid Virginia driver’s license.
