Hiring Range: $34,000 - $55,000, commensurate w/ experience.
Full Time or Part Time: Full Time
Job DescriptionUtility Trades Technician role includes self‑perform technical and non‑technical routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on the physical plant, providing the campus with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs as required. The position is designated essential and may require reporting to work or fulfilling responsibilities during campus closures due to weather or other emergent conditions.
Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge and skill in performing basic electric repairs in accordance with applicable code.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code applications.
- Knowledge of and skill in drywall and acoustic tile repair procedures, surface preparation, and painting.
- Knowledge of and skill in performing basic plumbing and HVAC repairs.
- Knowledge of and skill in performing basic construction.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret sketches, diagrams and plans.
- Skilled in the use of basic hand tools (hammer, saw, screwdriver, wrenches) and electric drills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend and stoop.
- Journeyman’s license in any of the building maintenance trades.
