Job Description
- Position:
Diagnostic and repair technician for medium to heavy‑dukt trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dollies, and maintenance vehicles. - Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. - Pay:
Up to $35.00 per hour based on experience. - Uniforms and safety boot allowance provided. Benefits begin Day 1.

Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy‑dukt trucks, trailers, and other fleet vehicles while ensuring compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations. The technician maintains documentation, completes work orders for all repairs and parts used daily, and performs road call services as needed.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and standard component inspections on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units). Identify root causes of basic failures and perform required repairs.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components to ensure proper operating condition and replace parts as necessary.
- Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration before being deemed roadworthy.
- Document work orders for repairs and preventive maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
- Use hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, precision instruments) and power tools (pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, hoists).
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
- Train other employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience in medium to heavy‑dukt vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel, air & air‑disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and at least 2 years in A/C refrigeration.
- Associate’s or 2‑year technical education.
- 7–10 years of experience in medium to heavy‑dukt vehicle repair with the same skill set and at least 2 years in A/C refrigeration.
- Preferred certifications:
Tire & wheel, brakes, AC, and/or EPA, DOT inspections, transmissions, engines, ASE Heavy Duty.
