Overview

Job Title: Senior Software Developer - NTIRA
Location: Suffolk, VA/Hybrid/Remote

• Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Participate in Agile meetings such as Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, Design meetings, and Sprint Demonstration meetings.
• Ensure properly documented code with meaningful variable names and functions, adhering to best coding practices.
• Maintain and version changes in the program code repository.
• Work with software application testers to ensure code is thoroughly tested in applicable testing environments before release to the NTIRA production environment.
• Ensure all work is tracked and approved in Jira software.

• An Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and contract requirements.
• Over ten (10) years of experience providing software development support in a web-based, cloud-based environment, including the ability to design, code, test and implement custom web applications.
• Experience developing custom web applications from the ground up, including design, coding, testing, and integration; troubleshooting and maintaining pre-existing web applications; developing dynamic, data-driven web applications; replacing deprecated functionality; identifying inefficient code and refactoring.
• Experience with security requirements defined in the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Zero Trust guidance.
• Experience with Visual Studio, .NET MVC, Entity Framework, C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML, IIS.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+).

• Broad knowledge of technologies including jQuery;
  Java or ;
  Python;
  Type Script;
  Eclipse IDE or Net Beans;
  Apache Tomcat; XML; and process documentation to support software development.
• Experience in development of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience versioning software with Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git-based repository.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, or similar knowledge management/project tracking software.
• Bachelor’s degree is desired.

• A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
