JavaScript​/Java Software Engineer - process Secret Clearance

Insight Global is seeking Junior and Mid-level Software Engineers to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building and improving software by working with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other Engineers by translating functional requirements into robust, scalable, and supportable solutions. You will participate in the full SDLC, and actively troubleshoot issues in support of applications in production critical environments.

• Strong development fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
• Knowledge of best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing operations
• A sound understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and software design patterns
• Understanding of system architecture and experience with distributed systems
• Experience utilizing Agile methodologies and principles as well as Agile frameworks
• Experience with collaboration, development tracking, and version control systems such as Confluence, Jira, and Git
• Knowledge of web-based runtime environments such as NodeJS and web application frameworks such as Angular
  
  JS and ReactJS
• Knowledge of application abstraction and container fundamentals
• Experience with container runtime environments such as Docker and container‑orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
• Design and development in Relationship and No
  
  SQL/Graph databases
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

2-8 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

$75,000-$110,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
