Suffolk FA - Football Development Officer (Women & Girls)

Suffolk FA is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate professional to join our Football Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving female football participation in the county, including maximising FA programmes such as Wildcats, Squad Girls, Just Play, and Girls Football School Partnerships.

About Suffolk FA - Football Development Officer (Women & Girls)

Suffolk FA are recruiting a Football Development Officer to lead our women and girls work, playing a vital role within the team to grow opportunities for women and girls to play football. Our work around women and girls football is a strategic priority for the organisation, and this is an exciting time to be involved, after the success of the Lionesses at the European Championships in 2025.

Suffolk FA's  Strategy – 'Driving the Local Game' will work collaboratively with The FA's Grassroots strategy which sets out a clear direction of travel for grassroots football in England. We want to deliver equal opportunities for women and girls to play and ensure every woman and girl who wants to play football has an opportunity to do so in a safe and enjoyable setting and in a way that suits their lifestyle.

The Role

The successful candidate will also be responsible for working with local leagues to ensure they are offering an attractive environment for female players of all ages as well as delivering The FA's Equal Game Workshops. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with community partners to support and address health inequalities through the power of football.
