• Ensure safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Ensure safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destination.
• Properly load and unload freight to ensure safety and minimize risk of damage to cargo and danger to persons.
• Properly handle and accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to truck operation and freight movements.
• Represent the company and the trucking industry professionally through responsible driving.

• Must be able to squat/kneel.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit for several hours at a time.
• Must be able to perform duties inclusive of driving a commercial motor vehicle including but not limited to grasping/steering; pushing gas pedal, clutch, and brake with appropriate strength; sitting for several hours; reaching in order to shift gears.
• Must be able to climb in and out of tractor repetitively.
• Must be able to dolly up and down trailer.
• Must be able to open, close, and lock trailer doors.
• Must be able to walk around trailer and stoop to inspect.
• Must be able to write a complete log.
• Must have vision at least 20/40 corrected.
• Must be able to hear a forced whisper from 5 feet without hearing devices.
• Must have no impairment of the hand, arm, foot, or leg that interferes with the ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
