Aging Order Specialist-1st Shift
Position Summary
As an Aging Order Specialist based at the Suffolk, VA fulfillment center, you will identify aging inventory that is not located in its proper bin, work with all areas of the fulfillment center, and ensure lost inventory is returned to proper storage locations. The role is onsite and requires a shift of Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities- Run reports from the Warehouse Management System to identify aged inventory in various pack statuses.
- Use Order Information Utility, Customer Service Screens, Pro‑Ship and UPS/USPS tracking to analyze inventory needs.
- Check work queues throughout the facility to ensure work is processed in FIFO order.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System to determine why shipments are not moving through outbound processes.
- Partner with outbound and Inventory Control to ensure shipments are properly processed.
- Support general problem‑solving or exception‑handling responsibilities, including outbound order fulfillment, stow problem exception resolution, pick‑short resolution, and other duties.
- Perform essential warehouse functions such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, stowing, and other team member tasks.
- Good general computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.
- Basic math calculation skills.
- Color vision sufficient to distinguish between colors.
- Previous experience in a research or problem‑solving role that discovers opportunities within well‑designed systems.
- Experience operating general office equipment such as fax machines, photocopiers, and printers.
- Capacity to comprehend and apply complex information.
- Availability to work assigned shift hours and additional hours as needed.
