The Access Center for Disability Resources is responsible for greeting walk-ins and answering phones, as well as scheduling student appointments. They will direct students to appropriate services based on their needs. In addition, they will maintain stock of necessary forms, publications, and fliers and assist in the organization and professional appearance of office areas. The Access Center for Disability Resources is responsible to the Access Center for Disability Resources Manager.
BASICRESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Assist with preparation, filing, duplicating, collating, and posting of materials.
- Assist with mailings.
- Collect mail for the office and ensure that outgoing mail is in the mail room in a timely fashion.
- Assist students with basic computer functions.
- Learn assistive technology to demonstrate and assist students with use of equipment and programs.
- Assist with conversion of materials to an accessible format.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Waubonsee student enrolled in at least one credit.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above.
- Be in good standing with Student Conduct.
- Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material.
- General clerical skills.
- Background or strong interest in technology preferred.
- Afternoon and Friday availability preferred.
