Part-time Adjunct Faculty
Waubonsee Community College is committed to hiring and retaining exceptional faculty and staff who are committed to the college’s culture of collaboration, professional growth and student success. Adjunct faculty members play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Responsibilities include delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning across various delivery modes.
Courses Available- BIO 270 and BIO 272 – Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2 (Summer & Fall 2026)
- Designing syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet course descriptions and learning outcomes while addressing diverse student needs.
- Meeting all college deadlines for attendance, grades, and data collection for assessment of student learning.
- Incorporating learning-centered principles and motivating students to actively participate in their educational experiences.
- Integrating instructional and classroom technology appropriately and effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Working collaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.
- Modeling professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Master’s degree in Biology or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Biology coursework.
- Teaching Biology, or a related field, at a community college and/or vocational/technical institution.
- Teaching traditionally underserved populations.
- Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching.
- Teaching in multiple instructional modalities.
- Utilizing Learning Management Systems.

Hours:
Course dependent - Minimum Pay per Course: $7,266.00
