Part-time Adjunct Faculty

Responsibilities
  • Deliver curriculum, provide instruction, and perform student learning assessment.
  • Design syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet the established course description and the program, course, and college learning outcomes while addressing the needs of diverse learners.
  • Meet all college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades, and data collection for assessment of student learning.
  • Incorporate learning‑centered principles and concepts, motivating students to actively participate in their educational experiences.
  • Integrate instructional and classroom technology (if applicable) appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.
  • Model professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Course Description

KPE
200.001 – Introduction to Physical Education (This course introduces the disciplines of physical education throughout the landscape of K‑12 education).

Traditional/Face‑to‑Face Modality. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am – 10:45 am from 08/12/26 – 12/12/26.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology.
  • Must have a Professional Educator License with a Physical Education endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching Kinesiology or a related field at a community college or vocational/technical institution.
  • Experience teaching traditionally underserved populations.
  • Capability to incorporate technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learning processes.
  • Experience teaching in multiple instructional modalities.
  • Use of Learning Management Systems.

Compensation

Minimum semester pay per course: $3,363.00.
