Student Finance Educator (Peer) - Flexible Hours & Impact

Overview

Money Matters is the financial education program for WCC students. The program meets peer‑to‑peer with students to work on personal budgeting, credit scores, debt management, paying for college and more. Workdays can include promoting the program at tables around campus, presenting at events, presenting in classrooms, and consulting students. No finance experience necessary.

• Assist students with budgeting, creating an emergency fund, paying for college, credit score education, and more.
• Help plan and implement financial/wellness programs and events.
• Schedule one‑on‑one appointments with students.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Financial Aid Manager.
• Promote the Money Matters program at various tabling events including College Night, orientations, Engagement Fair, and others as assigned.

• A Waubonsee student enrolled in at least one credit.
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above.
• Be in good standing with Student Conduct.
• Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
