Basic Function
  • Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities on campus in such a manner that the best possible image of the college is presented at all times.
  • Inspect and monitor assigned building(s), checking for cleanliness, restocking restrooms, handling minor emergencies to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Clean interior glass surfaces minimum of twice a month at all buildings or as required.
  • Assist in furniture moving or set‑ups as directed.
  • Monitor custodial supply inventory and request additional stock as required and verify all inventory is kept in a neat and orderly manner in your assigned area.
  • Identify and report maintenance problems on campus to the Shift Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor and/or the Director of Buildings, Grounds and Events.
  • Snow removal as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of successful employment in a custodial position preferred.
  • Physical ability to individually lift 35 pounds required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work well independently.
