Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities at the campus to present the best possible image of the college at all times.
  • Coordinate and complete furniture moves and event set‑ups as required.
  • Monitor custodial supply inventory, request additional stock as needed, and keep inventory neat and orderly in the assigned area.
  • Coordinate extra cleaning/set‑ups for special needs directed by campus leadership.
  • Perform cleaning tasks to cover missing staff members, unusual conditions, and emergencies.
  • Handle all emergency situations during the shift to minimize damage and safeguard the campus; notify Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor, or Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager immediately.
  • Identify and report maintenance problems on campus to Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor, or Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager.
  • Snow removal as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ employment experience in a custodial or maintenance related position.
  • Physical ability to lift 35 pounds individually.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to make work‑related decisions without immediate supervision.
  • Flexibility to work required hours for special functions at college facilities.
