As a Security Officer - Entry Check Driver in Sugar Grove, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and document activity while staying highly visible and ready to respond to security‑related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
• Control access at gates, doors, and loading areas by verifying identification, managing visitor sign‑in and/or badging, issuing directions, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries and contractor activity, help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, and report irregular activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete required logs and reports, communicate key information during shift handoffs, and maintain awareness of alarms, cameras, and access control systems to support security‑related operations.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
