Internal Audit Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

This summer the intern will be introduced to the Sarbanes-Oxley act through annual compliance project planning, process walkthroughs, and control testing. The intern will also be a team member on an internal audit and gain perspective on the phases of an internal audit and the role of an auditor.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* College student studying accounting, finance or related area who is entering into their Junior or Senior year at an accredited College or University

* Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* Excellent written and verbal communication; and presentation skills

* Previous internships/work and/or coursework experience with public accounting / consulting firm, industry exposure preferred.

* Displays soft skills effectively and promotes teamwork.

* Awareness of internal audit process and Sarbanes-Oxley Act preferred.

* Technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other related platforms/systems

* Out of the box thinking, problem solving, relationship building and interpersonal skills

* Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

* Fluent in English, oral and written required.

* Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.

MAJOR

ACCOUNTABILITIES

During the internship, the intern will participate in the following:

* Offering critical compliance and assurance services.

* Assisting with the annual audit plan.

* Regularly Communicate with supervisor work progress, concerns, and questions

EXPECTED RESULTS

* Adherence to all company policies and procedures
