Senior Tax Accountant JN

We are partnering with a CPA firm in the Sugar Land area seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support a diverse client portfolio and serve as a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses.

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, and 1065.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning discussions.
• Manage tax deadlines and client expectations throughout the year.
• Review bookkeeping and financial records to ensure accuracy prior to tax preparation.
• Mentor and support junior staff members while contributing to a positive team culture.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies and advisory services designed to support their financial goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of recent public accounting or corporate tax experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
• Proficiency with CCH, Workstream, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and client‑service mindset.
