We are seeking a skilled Tax Senior to join our team in a hybrid capacity, working both remotely and in our Houston office.
As a Tax Senior, you will handle both the preparation and review of various tax returns. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance while helping to mentor junior staff. This role offers excellent visibility within the firm and a clear path for professional advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Identify and research tax issues, providing effective solutions and planning recommendations.
- Mentor, train, and review the work of tax associates to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain strong communication with clients to gather financial data and resolve inquiries.
- Assist team leadership with managing engagement deadlines and workflow distribution.
- Active CPA license or current CPA candidate actively pursuing the designation.
- Proven experience handling both the preparation and review of tax returns within public accounting.
- Strong command of federal, state, and local tax regulations for individuals and business entities.
- Proficiency with modern tax software and accounting research platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
