CLS is looking for an experienced Billing Specialist local to Sugar Land, TX. Responsible for preparing invoices to clients and all items relating to the generation of the invoice. Responsible for assisting with processing of Accounts Payable invoices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:
- Assist in generating draft invoices bi-weekly, sending to appropriate supervisor for approval.
- Verifies accuracy of billing data and revises any errors.
- Gathers, assembles, reviews all back-up information for bi-weekly billing.
- Submits final invoice to clients within designated timeframe.
- Communicates with clients by telephone, fax, e-mail or postal mail to verify accuracy of charges, investigate complaints or to correct errors in accounts.
- Updates AR collections.
- May interact with internal and external auditors; providing access to related records, as required.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all financial and company records.
- This position is responsible for working with all office staff, ensuring a healthy work environment and the satisfaction of all staff, both corporate and project. Must be able to work effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, including clients, applicants, vendors and others.

- Must have 1-3+ years of Biling experience.
- Must be local to Sugar Land, TX.
- Prior General Office experience is preferred!
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the stress of constant deadlines.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to review and maintain financial records.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must maintain minimum automobile liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000.
Skills:
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to write clearly and concisely to prepare reports, specifications and correspondence.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and properly apply knowledge gained from general business periodicals, contracts and company policy.
- Ability to write basic reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients and customers.
Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with general PC operation.
- Intermediate software skills with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of computerized accounting systems including billing, AR, and AP modules.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Plus stand; walk; and stoop, kneel or crouch. - The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Employee is expected to use good judgment when lifting or moving office supplies and/or furniture and to seek assistance or wear back support appliances when appropriate.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus in use of computer monitor and other manual, task-related functions.
This job will require a majority of work to be performed in a well lighted, temperature controlled, fast-paced office setting. There are frequent interruptions during the workday for impromptu meetings with various corporate employees, client calls and required weekly and other meetings.
