Role Description

The Full-Time Front Desk/Administrative Professional is an on-site role based at Montessori Reggio Academy in Sugar Land, TX. This role manages daily front desk operations, including greeting families and visitors, answering phones, responding to emails, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff. Responsibilities include maintaining student records, assisting with admissions and enrollment paperwork, supporting classroom and office scheduling, and handling basic data entry and filing.

The role also involves coordinating communication with families, preparing and distributing notices, assisting with billing or payment collection as needed, and supporting school events and administrative projects. The professional works closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including managing calendars, records, and files.
  • Proficiency with office software and technology (email, word processing, spreadsheets, basic databases, printers, and copiers).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with families, staff, and external partners.
  • Customer service skills with a professional, courteous, and patient approach to children and adults.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and handling confidential information.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and remain calm in a busy school environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
  • Prior experience in a school, childcare, or office setting is preferred; familiarity with Montessori or Reggio Emilia approaches is a plus.
  • High school diploma required; additional education or training in administration, education, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for children, families, and staff.
