The Texas Water Utilities team is seeking a Customer Service Representative
. Responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to customers by handling inquiries, complaints, and requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner. The role may assist with order processing, service information, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to maintain positive customer relationships. Strong communication skills, problem solving abilities, and a customer‑centric mindset are essential for success in this role.

This position will be willing and able to perform the following duties and others as assigned:
- Receives, evaluates, and answers customer inquiries (phone or correspondence) in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
- Processes service orders to the field, taking ownership of the customer inquiry to provide complete customer satisfaction.
- Estimate adjustments to consumption and escalates to the manager to provide credit adjustments.
- Make outbound calls to customers as necessary.
- Works within established guidelines and policies.
Experience
- 1 year of directly related experience in customer care.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures relating to customer service is helpful.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
- Office environment
- Light to moderate physical activity, requires normal hearing and vision.
