The City of Sugar Land is seeking a part-time Recreation Specialist (IPRC) with the Parks and Recreation Department.

As a Recreation Specialist, you will:
* Process registration for all programs, classes and events.
* Welcome customers and provide accurate information on programs, events and classes.
* Monitor participants attending programs, classes and events.
* Responsible for assuring adequate supplies are maintained.
* Answer incoming calls, direct calls as required, and research information as necessary.
* Monitor and maintain all equipment and programs within the Recreation Center.
* Assist with special programs and events throughout the year.
* Assist staff in compiling reports and other documents and paperwork.
* Follow emergency procedures.
* Assist other parks and recreation staff with all other duties as assigned.
* Required to work as an essential employee before, during and after an emergency or disaster.
Formal
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED (required).
Relatable
Work Experience:
* One-year experience in providing customer service.
* General office experience, including working with a computer.
* Cash handling/cash drawer experience.
* Municipal experience is preferred.
Training (License and/or Certification):
* Valid Texas Driver's License.
* Ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Training within 6 months.
