Designer | Architecture

CIVRA is seeking a talented, highly creative Architectural Designer I to join our architecture team.
This opportunity is designed for a recent architecture graduate with a strong portfolio, exceptional design instincts, and a genuine desire to see ideas become built projects.
No previous professional experience is required.
We are looking for someone curious, energetic, ambitious, and passionate about architecture — someone who brings fresh ideas, strong visual instincts, and the drive to develop those ideas into thoughtful, buildable projects.

Your work will not end with a rendering.
At CIVRA, you will have the opportunity to follow projects from early concept and design through construction documents, permitting, consultant coordination, and construction — giving you direct exposure to the full architectural process and the opportunity to see your ideas become real buildings.

• Develop architectural concepts and design solutions
• Produce site studies, floor plans, elevations, massing studies, and renderings
• Build and develop project models in Revit
• Translate approved designs into coordinated construction documents
• Create presentations, graphics, diagrams, boards, and visual narratives
• Prepare polished leadership and client presentations using PowerPoint and Canva
• Research materials, precedents, building systems, and emerging design approaches
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside consultants
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and site visits
• Follow projects from concept through construction

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Exceptional academic or personal design portfolio
• Strong architectural design and visual communication skills
• Proficiency in Revit
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design
• Ability to create polished presentations using PowerPoint and Canva
• Graphic design experience or education is highly preferred
• Strong instincts for composition, typography, color, diagramming, and presentation design
• Curiosity, energy, ambition, and a willingness to learn
• Ability to receive feedback, iterate, and continue developing ideas

Professional experience is not required.

Eligible experience may be documented toward NCARB AXP requirements under appropriate supervision.
You will gain direct exposure to architectural design, production, consultant coordination, permitting, and construction, with opportunities to take on greater project responsibility and ownership as your abilities develop.
