Part-Time Peer Tutor - Sugar Land

Multiple daytime positions located on the WCJC Sugar Land campus.

The Part‑Time Peer Tutor will work closely with the Learning Center Facilitator and staff to provide a positive and welcoming educational environment for students. The Peer Tutor provides student tutoring/assistance in core courses, study skills, and time management. The Peer Tutor assists in the Learning Center computer lab as well as provides other services offered in the Center.

B. This position requires the ability to relate to students and present content in a variety of ways to accommodate the diverse learning styles of students. Strong technical skills that include experience with an online Learning Management System such as Brightspace and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of student populations.
