Equipment Engineer (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am shift. 3-4 days a week)
The Equipment Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance and reliability of production line equipment to reduce downtime, boost productivity, and ensure the seamless operation of automated systems. The role requires collaboration with other engineering team members to uphold a consistent and efficient production line.
Responsibilities- Equipment Management:
Oversee and rectify deviations in equipment performance, with a focus on troubleshooting and repair of production machinery, including both automated and semi-automated equipment. - Compliance Assurance:
Ensure that all equipment adheres to functional specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. - Maintenance Scheduling:
Organize and execute regular calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for newly introduced production equipment. - Equipment Oversight:
Monitor the operational status of production machinery and coordinate equipment technician duties to maintain optimal performance. - Design Enhancement:
Use SOLIDWORKS to refine and enhance equipment functionality and design. - Documentation:
Produce and maintain precise records and documentation pertaining to maintenance, modifications, repairs, and performance metrics. - Issue Reporting:
Follow established protocols to report and address equipment issues effectively. - Flexible
Working Hours:
Be prepared to work during nights and weekends as required to support production needs if needed.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in an electro-mechanical role dealing with manufacturing equipment. - Technical Proficiency:
Experience with SOLIDWORKS and LabVIEW is advantageous. - Desirable
Skills:
Ability to solder and perform board testing. - Industry
Experience:
Previous employment in a semiconductor company is a significant plus.
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
