Chevron is accepting online applications for the Aviation Maintenance Technician position through July 2nd, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).
The Aviation Maintenance Technician will be part of a maintenance team of 11 employees managed by the Manager Aviation Maintenance and supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor for aircraft maintenance and work scheduling. The selected candidate will help maintain company‑owned aircraft in an airworthy condition as defined by the FAA, OEM and company policies.
Responsibilities- Maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition per FAA, OEM, and company guidelines.
- Perform maintenance and repair of airframe and power plant.
- Install manufacturer’s engineering changes.
- Remove and install mechanical components.
- Cross‑train to install, inspect, test, adjust or repair industry standard equipment such as avionics, radar, autopilots, and other electronic devices.
- Assist in FAA required formal inspections.
- Perform pre‑flight, post‑flight, fueling, defueling, towing operations; participate in arrivals and departures as part of ground crew, including passenger escort, baggage handling, and onsite technical support for aircrew as needed.
- Participate and comply with corporate compliance training and attend OEM aviation technical training for proficiency on aircraft systems.
- Participate in the tool control program to account for all tools when work is complete.
- Follow all aircraft maintenance manual procedures, inspection criteria, safety SOPs and use proper PPE.
- Operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, tugs and power carts after company training.
- Perform work at heights using fall protection when required.
- Perform 20% travel for training, aircraft service visits, and AOG support.
- Pass a physical fitness exam requiring lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Pass drug screen and background checks.
- High school graduate with diploma or GED.
- Minimum 4 years FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license without violation.
- Minimum 4 years overall large cabin Gulfstream or Embraer Praetor 500/600 experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience using Gulfstream CMP or similar maintenance tracking program.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport.
- Proficient with MS Windows, MS Office, and Teams video chat.
- Ability to work at heights with fall protection.
- Ability to operate forklifts, JLG boom lifts, scissor lifts, tug, hydraulic and electrical power carts after company training.
- Flexible with shift work including 2nd shift, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of time.
- Inspection Authorization after first year (paid by company).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Gulfstream G650 experience.
- Embraer Praetor 500/600 experience.
- Flight Safety International training on the above model aircraft.
- Avionics background.
Relocation will be considered.
