Project Manager

Our company is a nationally recognized electrical power and control systems engineering firm and is seeking a qualified Project Manager in Sugarland, TX (Houston) to aid our growing electrical power and control systems offerings.

• 5 years’ project management experience in the engineering field; electrical power and control systems experience is preferred
• Adept at the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
• Highly effective at written and verbal communications
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance
• Ability to work independently, but willing to seek guidance when needed
• Basic knowledge of sound engineering principles and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with regular priority changes
• Average 25% travel with willingness to travel via air

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

• Overarching Project Management duties for one or more projects spanning initial opportunity identification, proposal generation, project kickoff, execution, and closeout
• Manage safety, quality, scope, budget, and schedule aspects of projects
• Develop new opportunity proposals, estimates, and accompanying documentation
• Lead Won project kickoff, execution, and closeout utilizing standard company tools/processes/procedures; including initial development and subsequent maintenance of job safety analysis, budget, schedule, cost tracking/analysis/forecasting, change order management, client status updates, progress meetings, etc.
